Current Offerings

From the Desk of Bob Feld

Friday, November 24, 2017

I hope each and everyone of you enjoyed your Thanksgiving yesterday.  I am currently in Del Mar and the weather could not be better.  Our box seats are available this weekend if you get a chance to make it down!  Also, since today is Black Friday, we have some shares still available in some of the horses in the stable below.

The news:

DISCOVERY BAY (Churchill Downs Spectrum)
We made a move of trainers to Randy Matthews recently and he seems to like the way she is going. She put in a nice workout over the surface at Churchill Downs Spectrum on Wednesday going a half-mile in :49 1/5.  It was the 3rd fastest of 9 on the morning. She was entered this morning for an Allowance race at Mahoning Valley but it did not fill.  They wrote it back as an extra and we hope they use it!  We enter tomorrow.

FIVE EACH WAY (Fair Hill, MD)
She has trained well since her last race and she is due to work any day now.  There is a race for her on Sunday, December 3rd at Aqueduct.  It is a NY-bred turf Allowance race going 1-1/16 miles.  We will more than likely give her some time off after this race as the turf racing goes dormant for the winter in New York.

INTERNATIONAL DIVA (IRE) (San Luis Rey Downs)
She put in a spry three furlong workout last Saturday for trainer Phil D’Amato.  She went the distance in :36 3/5 making it the 5th fastest of 15 that morning. Phil reports she is scheduled to work a half-mile tomorrow morning.

MONSTER OF NATURE (Belmont Park)
Trainer Danny Gargan does not like the way she moves over the dirt in her recent workouts at Belmont Park so he is easing up on her training but doing “2-minute licks” to keep her fit.  He is moving his barn to Florida next week and she will resume timed workouts once she settles in.

OF NOTE (Golden Gate)
Once again jockey Aaron Gryder lagged a bit too much early and had her flying late only to run second again.  We have found a race that she will be odds-on in and we are changing riders.  We are going to wheel her back on Thursday, December 7th and drop her in for MCL $8,000 going long and we expect a picture in this spot.

SADDLE BAR (AbraCadabra Farm)
He is in the round pen and doing well learning his lessons.  I have a brief video of him in the round pen and if you would like to see it send me a text at (626) 483-5454.  We have shares available and he will be competing in California.

WINTRY MIX (AH Farm – Lexington)
Vacation is over! She is scheduled to ship back into the track on Monday.  We have ONE share available and she will be competing in Kentucky.

UNNAMED ENGLISH YEARLING FILLY (The Curragh, Kildare, Ireland)
Reports are positive and she is learning the ropes.  We have shares available she she will be competing in Europe with an eye on Royal Ascot.

Enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend,
Bob
